Our client in Auburn Hills is seeking an Accounting Assistant to add to their team. This would be a full-time, Monday-Friday position. Pay starts at $17-$21/hr

Responsibilities:

• Analyze invoices and purchase orders to determine payment schedules
• Enter all invoices in database accordingly and accurately code to correct job
• Work with Project Mangers to properly job cost and budget
• Ensure subcontract compliance requirements are met (contracts, insurance certificate and W-9s)
• Receive and respond to vendor inquires
• Balance and match receipts to credit card statements
• Provide work orders and scopes of work to customers
• Send invoices to customers and insurance companies
• Assist with payroll, as needed
• Answer the phones and respond to customer inquires in a professional manner
• Enter new customer accounts into the CRM software
• Filing and scanning documents

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an office setting (3 years minimum)
• Experience working with accounting software; Sage 100 Contractor is a plus
• High School Diploma required; Additional College preferred
• An understanding of the construction industry preferred
• Strong Computer skills (MS Office Suite: Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Strong organization, communication and time management
• Strong Customer Service skills
